November 22, 2005

Avancé educator Denise Miele has been selected as the Look Good...Feel Better Certified Volunteer State Sunrise award winner for her participation in the national Look Good...Feel Better (LGFB) program. The free public service program, which began in 1989, helps female cancer patients cope with appearance-related side effects of chemotherapy and radiation. The nationwide program is spearheaded by the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association and is implemented in partnership with the American Cancer Society and the National Cosmetology Association.
Ms. Miele, who has served as a LGFB volunteer in New England for six years, has been recognized for the exceptional dedication she has provided to patients of the program.
