Avons Sales Rise To Record Numbers

November 22, 2005

New York-based Avon Products reported its 2004 sales rose 13% to a record $7.66 billion. Sales of beauty products increased 17%, with growth in all categories including skin care (up 20%), fragrance (13%), color cosmetics (14%) and personal care (24%). Net income in 2004 increased 27% to $846.1 million.
“The consistent strength of our consolidated geographic portfolio, together with the tremendous level of cash that our business now operates-more than double the level of four years ago-should provide a very solid foundation for unleashing further growth as we continue to move forward with Avon’s transformation,” said chairman and chief executive officer Andrea Jung.
