New York-based Avon Products reported its 2004 sales rose 13% to a record $7.66 billion. Sales of beauty products increased 17%, with growth in all categories including skin care (up 20%), fragrance (13%), color cosmetics (14%) and personal care (24%). Net income in 2004 increased 27% to $846.1 million.
