Bloomingdale’s, New York City, added a new Molton Brown counter in December to offer more than the usual cookie-cutter department store look, according to company executives. The beauty floor of the store was repositioned with new brands, such as Kiehl’s, and expansions for Lancôme, Shiseido, Prescriptives and Origins. “We’re setting the business up to be a more limited distribution, upscale business,” commented Michael Gould, chairman and chief executive officer of Bloomingdale’s.
