Chicago-based Continental Glass and Plastic, Inc. has a network of certified manufacturers with the ability to produce a high-quality tube with an average lead-time of 12 weeks. The large selection of tube line and more than 75 head styles provide many options. The CGP team of packaging consultants can also help find the right in-house injection molded closure and tube decoration.
In other CGP news, the company introduced Leak-Loc, a bottle and cap combination molded with core rod technology featuring a snap-down effect. The core rod technology reduces the return of air pressure to the neck during the blow-molding process, resulting in a stable, linerless seal that stops creep and prevents leakage. According to company executives, Leak-Loc has been proven to exceed ASTM standards, prevent leaks and save money.
Originally created to be used with fluids exposed to pressure during the sterilization process, the concept has grown into a perfect way to prevent leaks in many different applications, company executives said.
