Ecolab Acquires Water Care Company

Ecolab, Inc., St. Paul, MN, has acquired Midland Research Laboratories, Inc., a Lenexa, KS-based provider of water treatment products, process chemicals and services for the commercial, institutional, industrial, food and sugar processing markets. Midland has sales of approximately $16 million.
“This acquisition reflects Ecolab’s ongoing interest in water care products and services to the middle market, focusing on customers in our existing core markets including hospitality, health care and food and beverage processing,” commented Douglas M. Baker, president and chief executive officer of Ecolab.
