Jacksonville, FL-based Rex Corporation and Heideheim, Germany-based Carl Edelmann GmbH & Co. KG have entered into a global cooperation agreement to supply high quality, innovative folding cartons to customers in the cosmetic and hair industry. Both companies have decades of experience developing high quality graphic standards.
“Manufacturers of cosmetic and hair color products in the U.S. have shown an increased interest toward synchronization of similar lines abroad,” said John Gambardella, vice president of sales and marketing for Rex Corporation. “In addition, a globalization of the industry’s customer base is also pushing folding carton suppliers to position themselves with production sites around the world.”
According to Thomas Ruoff, sales director of cosmetic packaging for Carl Edelmann GmbH & Co. KG, “The alliance is a perfect fit. The advantages for Edelmann include the development of global brands at one site together with technical handling, e.g. sending data by electronic data transfer directly to production locations on both sides of the Atlantic. The advantages for cosmetic manufacturers include reduced development and workload costs, together with cost benefits on the logistics side.
