Glenn Newman of Croda Dies at 62

Glenn Newman, vice president of sales for Croda, Inc., Edison, NJ, died unexpectedly on Dec. 3 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He was 62. Mr. Newman joined Croda in 1973 and was scheduled to retire at the end of December after serving more than 30 years with the company. As the No. 1 salesperson and as a mentor to many in the sales department and throughout the company, Mr. Newman played a key role in the U.S. growth of Croda.
The son of Hungarian immigrants, Mr. Newman served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He joined the Croda sales department in 1973. A man of many talents, Mr. Newman’s true gift was his sense of humor and he had a joke or story for every occasion.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Roni, two sons, Zachary and Alan, two daughter-in-laws and two granddaughters. Donations may be made to the Medical Intensive Care Unit of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, 8 Easton Ave, New Brunswick, NJ, 08901-1925.
