Groupe Batteur USA, the two-year-old subsidiary of French company Caen, is rolling out five beauty collections to multiple distribution channels. The lines, including spa brand Algotherm, should help grow the business, according to Groupe Batteur executives. The company’s global strategy is creating partnerships with hotels, a trend within the industry, Batteur executives insisted. Algotherm is available in 40 upscale spas in the U.S.; the company hopes to increase that figure to 75-100 locations in 2005.
