Kline Launches New Global Study

Kline & Company, Little Falls, NJ, has expanded its “Cosmetics & Toiletries USA” market research study to include product categories, brands and leading marketers in selected countries throughout Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America. The new global program is one of the most ambitious projects the company has undertaken since its inception in 1959, said Jim Weatherall, senior vice president of Kline’s research division.
“Global Cosmetics and Toiletries” will present data on more than 400 product profiles and regional overviews covering 19 product categories in 16 countries. The profiles include market share of leading manufacturers, unit sales and overall sales by product type and brand.
“By focusing in on specific regional markets, the study can help companies develop market entry strategies and capitalize on trends that are specific to those particular markets,” said Mr. Weatherall. He also noted that several multinational cosmetic and toiletry marketers and suppliers have already signed on as subscribers, and more are expected to purchase the study through the first quarter of 2005.
