McIntyre Earns Patent For Alkanolamide Cleanser

Patent No. US 6,765,024 B1: The McIntyre Group, Ltd., University Park, IL, was granted a patent to prepare a liquid aqueous cleanser by cold-mixing a liquid monoalkanolamide surfactant emulsion into a separate aqueous formulation containing at least one principal surfactant. The monoalkanolamide surfactant emulsion contains a mono-alkanolamide, a monoalkanolamide-emulsifying surfactant, a water-soluble inorganic electrolyte salt, a non-surfactant organic solvent and water.
