For an average of $15 a visit, more women are getting their nails done. Overall the nail care market was estimated to total more than $6.5 billion in 2003, up 67% from a decade ago, according to Nails magazine. Experts said factors that have influenced the industry include a tougher job market, a desire to pamper and a rise in nail salons from 32,674 just 10 years ago to 53,615 in 2003.
