Brazilian cosmetic maker Natura chose Kingsport, TN-based Eastman Chemical Company’s Glass Polymer copolyester for its new Due perfume packaging. Both the men’s and the women’s version of the fragrance use the Glass Polymer copolyester as a major package component.
“We chose the Glass Polymer copolyester for the material’s glass-like clarity and dimensional stability during finishing,” said Renato Wakimoto, Natura’s developing packaging manager. “It easily handled eight-cavity injection molding with a 1.5mm wall thickness and required lower temperatures, which means faster cycle times.
