PolyOne Introduces PlastOne Concentrates

November 22, 2005

PolyOne Corp., Cleveland, OH, launched PlastOne concentrates, a line of customizable products that can help customers reduce manufacturing cost and improve part aesthetics.
Based on new PolyOne technology, the concentrates are valuable for certain problems in injection molding and continuous and intermittent extrusion, according to company executives. Benefits include reduced cycle time, reduced scrap and improved aesthetics in the automotive interior, thin wall cover and lid markets and a wide range of other extruded parts.
“We believe PlastOne concentrates can help customers lower their manufacturing costs and improve dimensional stability,” said Larry Nitardy, marketing manager for PolyOne’s color and additives masterbatches group. “We have also noted improved chromatic appearance in some recent trials. Products simply look brighter than without the PlastOne concentrate.”
