Rohm and Haas (R&H) Company recognized 170 researchers and engineers from around the world for their contributions to scientific discovery and invention. Ceremonies were held near Rohm & Haas’ technical center in Spring House, PA, and in Rohm and Haas’ headquarters in Marlborough, MA.
The annual Patents Award ceremony recognizes employees who have played a major role in the development or improvement of a product or process technology that received a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark office during the previous year.
Recognized scientists work at the company’s technical centers in Spring House and Reading, PA; Marlborough, North Andover and Woburn, MA; Freeport, NY; Blacksburg, VA; the UK; Japan and Germany.   “The strength of Rohm and Haas has always been grounded in science and innovation, and in the tremendous talent of our technical employees,” said Dr. Gary Calabrese, vice president and chief technology officer. “Time and again, our scientists and engineers have demonstrated their ability to introduce new and exciting technologies to customers and consumers, and to solve what often appear to be insurmountable challenges through creative innovation. From electronics to paints and coatings, adhesives and personal and health care products, to name just a few, our technologists continue to impact society and everyday life in a positive way.”
