Patent No. US 6,790,460 B2: Research-ers for Salvona-IP LLC, Dayton, NJ, patented a controlled-release delivery system containing solid nano-particles with a core of carnauba wax and a surface of a bio-adhesive, positively-charged cetylpyridinium chloride surfactant. The biodegradable particles are delivered to biological surfaces in the oral cavity or mucous membranes.
