Shu Umera Expands to China

November 22, 2005

CHINA: Shu Umera Cosmetics opened its first cosmetics counter in China in August in Shanghai’s Isetan department store. A second locale opened in Beijing in September, with a third scheduled to debut in China by the end of the year. Executives at Nihon L’Oréal KK, a subsidiary of L’Oréal Group, Paris, said the decision came in response to huge growth potential in the Chinese market. Shu Umera products now available in China include 45 skin care products, 189 makeup items and 50 accessories. The brand targets women ages 25-35 who earn high incomes.
