TheraBreath and MonoSolRx will commercialize film strips containing OXYD-8, an oxygenating formula for bad breath. The companies will also market film strips containing benzocaine for oral pain and sore throats. Unlike conventional bad breath products that merely mask odors, TheraBreath products target odorous sulfide compounds by adding oxygen to the tissues and blocking anaerobic activity, company executives said.
