WD-40 Reports 3Q Earnings

Lubricant maker WD-40 Co. reported third-quarter net income rose about 5% to $6.1 million, or $0.35 a share, although its bottom line was hurt by higher costs for raw materials.

Analysts predicted the company would post earnings of $0.42 a share, according to Thomson First Call.

Third-quarter sales rose about 9% to $59.7 million. WD-40 also revised its full-year outlook and said it expects net income of $26-27 million.
