RITA Corp.: Bob Harrison has recently joined the company as director of sales. He is responsible for both international and domestic activities. Mr. Harrison is a graduate chemist of the University of North Carolina and has 24 years experience in the household and personal care industry. Mr. Harrison’s career began as a product development chemist at Richardson-Vick’s Inc. Most recently he was with Finetex Inc.
Air Liquide Healthcare America Corp.: Matthew Daulby has joined Schülke & Mayr Division, Air Liquide Healthcare America Corporation in the newly created position of technical marketing and sales manager. He will be responsible for sales to select key cosmetic and industrial accounts, as well as aspects of marketing, regulatory affairs and technical service.
Victoria’s Secret Beauty: Joyce Avalon has been named senior vice president, specialty brands and focus stores. She will be responsible for developing and marketing specialty brands to drive sales in over 50 focus store locations.
Lambent Technologies: Ryan Chun has been hired as the technical sales representative for the southwest region. He has over 10 years in the chemical industry in sales and process engineering.
MGP Ingredients: Roy Heckel has joined the company as director of sales, eastern region for personal care ingredients. He comes to the company after nearly nine years of experience in the personal care and pharmaceutical industries.
CBI Laboratories, Inc.: Melanie Valdez has been appointed director of marketing and product training. In this newly created role, Ms. Valdez is responsible for CBI’s marketing and product training efforts. In addition, she will share in the development of new product concepts for the company’s professional private label skin care, as well as the custom manufacturing division.
Pur Minerals: Jennifer Taylor has been appointed director of retail business development. She will lead the Pur minerals sales team, strengthen partnerships with the brand’s current channels of distribution and forge new relationships with retailers.
Her most recent position was global sales director for urban Decay and Hard Candy cosmetics, having joined the company in 2000 as marketing and merchandising manager.

Zotos International: Wolf Heim joins the company as vice president, marketing. He has a strong background in brand management, strategic business development and consumer packaged goods marketing.
Ray Alipour joins Zotos as senior director, sales operations and financial services. In this newly created position, Mr. Alipour will be responsible for developing new financial reporting systems for Joico and ISO.
Novapak: Drew Mellan was named regional sales manager of Novapak Corporation. He will cover the New York City, northern New Jersey and New England region, promoting the company’s blow molded containers to personal care, healthcare, household, food, automotive, and chemical product manufacturers.
Rich Frungillo was also named regional sales manager, responsible for promoting Novapak in the northeast territory. He was previously account manager for Owens-Illinois, Saddle Brook, NJ.
Dow Corning: Brian L. Jones has been named to the newly created position of life sciences industry, global marketing manager, leading the life sciences marketing team, which includes the global market specialists, global market analysts, marketing communications and marketing support team.
Replacing him as global industry manager, healthcare, is Kevin Murphy, who has been the global business development manager for drug delivery, wound care and oral care in the healthcare business.
Airspray International: Robert J. Langill has been appointed to vice president. In his new position, he will be responsible for Airspray’s business growth from new and existing clients and for overall direction of the company’s sales initiatives. Most recently, Langill was director of sales for the Silgan Plastics Corporation.
The NPD Group: Claude Charbit has been hired to lead the company’s global beauty business. In his new position, he will operate as president of NPD’s global beauty business and will be in charge of coordinating and developing NPD’s selective beauty business on an international level.
Avon: Avon Products Inc. announced that executive vice president and chief financial officer Robert J. Corti will retire, and named Charles Cramb, the former finance chief at Gillette Co., to succeed him.
Mr. Cramb will assume the newly created post of executive vice president, finance and technology, and chief financial officer.
Corti, who has been with Avon for 30 years, will stay on through next year’s first quarter in a non-finance related role to help with management changes and other transformation projects.
Colgate-Palmolive: Paul Stoneham has been appointed president, global business development, responsible for leading the company’s brand equity strategy worldwide. He will also have operating responsibility for Canada, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
DeWolf Chemical, Inc.: John A. Goffredo, Jr. has been named to the position of technical sales. He spent the past four years as a research scientist at Colgate-Palmolive.
PureOlogy: Julie Donohoo has been hired as regional sales manager for northeastern U.S. and southeastern Canada.
The Markham Prestige Group, which includes PureOlogy Serious Colour Care and Alterna Professional Haircare, has hired Sean Sharifi as creative director.
Bell Flavors & Fragrances: John Josephitis has been appointed senior perfumer. His duties will include working on creative fragrance projects, new technology and duplication work. Stephen Schuh has been appointed to the position of director, fragrance R&D.
Symrise: Tim Schaffner, global president of the fragrance division of Symrise GmbH & Co. KG has announced his retirement and will be succeeded by Achim Daub, the current president of the fragrance division for the company’s sales in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
In addition to his responsibilities there, Mr. Daub will assume global responsibility for the fragrance division. Prior to joining Symrise, Mr. Daub worked in numerous international management positions within the consumer goods industry, most recently at Procter & Gamble and Coty.
Cosmolab: Jean-Marie Colle has been appointed vice president of global business development, responsible for global color cosmetic sales. She joined Cosmolab in April of 2005 as managing director of Cosmolab Europe and is currently located in the company’s Switzerland office.
Creative Nail Design: T.J. Schafer has been appointed to northwest regional sales manager. He has been with the company for seven years.
Diana Brundick has been appointed director of key accounts and merchandising, a newly created position to support sales and store operation efforts.
Marta Harmon was hired as the new account development manager within the North America sales department.
Aware Products: M. Evan Parker has joined the company as salon sales division director. He will oversee the repositioning and redirection of Aware Products as it relates to the professional salon and spa industry.
Protameen Chemicals, Inc.: Cristina Osle has been appointed technical director. She brings extensive experience and technical expertise in raw materials and formulations garnered while employed with L’Oréal, Hartz Mountain and Victoria’s Secret.
Yankee Candle: Hope Margala Klein has joined the company as vice president, general merchandise manager. Ms. Klein joins Yankee Candle from Organized Living, Inc. where she served as executive vice president, general merchandise manager.
Richard R. Ruffolo has joined the company as senior vice president, marketing and innovation. He joins Yankee Candle after seven years with the Bath & Body Works division of Limited Brands, Inc.
