Arkema Inc. will be expanding its North American hydrogen peroxide production capacity by 20 kt/year, with a $10 million investment at its Canadian plant in Becancour, Québec, to be started by mid-2006. Becancour is one of Arkema’s two hydrogen peroxide plants in North America; the other is in Memphis, TN. Arkema also operates plants in France, Germany and China, with Arkema Shanghai Hydrogen Peroxide (ASHP), a joint venture with Shanghai Coking.
