INDIA: German parent Beiersdorf is taking control of its Nivea brand in India, discontinuing its 40-year brand licensing agreement with JL Morrison (JLM). Starting in January 2006, JLM will only contract manufacture and distribute Nivea. Beiersdorf will take charge of marketing and sales, brand promotion and product launches via a new company called Nivea India.
