CCL Provides Counterfeit Protection for Trimspa

CCL Container, Hermitage, PA, has created embossed aluminum packaging for Trimspa, a diet aid and nutritional supplement, that is virtually impossible to replicate, according to company executives. As the only product in the category utilizing aluminum, it differentiates itself from competing brands in familiar plastic and glass containers. To make the package especially difficult to replicate, CCL will soon be de-bossing a portion of the Trimspa logo on the side of the container.
In addition to providing counterfeit protection, CCL incorporated tamper-evident features by increasing the surface area of the bottle lip to accommodate a pressure-sensitive label that serves as a protective seal. Additionally, an outer plastic band covers the neck and closure of the package, delivering a “snap” upon first use. It is also 100% recyclable.
