Cosmetic Companies Spend Most on Ads

CHINA: A new survey shows that companies on the Chinese mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong spent 25% more on advertising than the previous year, and the most avid spenders were cosmetic giants. The biggest was Oil of Olay, which spent approximately $566 million. Total advertising spending in 2004 topped $43 billion.
