December 9, 2005

CHENNAI: Consumer goods producer Marico Industries launched Mediker Plus Anti-Lice oil in South India, in an effort to control a significant share of the anti-lice oil market in the region. An All-India Usage and Attitude study conducted by Marico revealed that 82% of girls aged 5-14 years suffer from lice in the southern metros of India, especially Chennai. Marico will launch the product in north Indian markets only after creating a good market in south India, company executives said.
