CANADA: Playtex Products Inc. said it plans to shut down a Canada-based packaging plant by the first quarter of 2006 and shift glove production to Malaysia. About 85 employees will be affected by the plant closure and realignment, Playtex said.
The Arnprior, Ontario, plant will begin closing in phases. Product supply will be furnished by a U.S. operation, and logistics will be handled in Mississauga, Ontario.
