Symrise has restructured two divisions for greater efficiency. The company has reorganized its global, regional and local fragrance management teams to provide increased resources for the local and regional markets in the household and laundry products sector and to take better creative advantage of its global competencies in the fine fragrance, personal care and oral care categories. The new regional management structure will focus on providing high quality fragrance and oral care flavor solutions for its clients’ products. This regional management structure will be supported by two global business unit teams that will leverage Symrise’s technologies, creativity and marketing expertise across all regions.
The company has also consolidated its aroma chemicals and cosmetic ingredients divisions into one new entity, Symrise Sensory Ingredients (SSI). As a result, Symrise now has three divisions: flavors, fragrances and sensory ingredients. According to company executives, some of the benefits of consolidating the divisions into one large unit include better use of synergies and a more streamlined management structure, which in turn means shorter reporting lines.
