he Yves Rocher Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Yves Rocher beauty company, announced the winners of the first annual Terre de Femmes “Women of the Earth” awards in the U.S. The awards honor women who make the world a greener place through their actions and programs. This year’s winners include Wendy Brawer, founder of Green Map System in New York City; Iris Brown, creator of the Norris Square Neighborhood Project in Philadelphia and Julia Weekes, creator of the Grow From Your Roots program in Philadelphia. The women received cash prizes totaling $10,000 to fund their programs.
