In February, Procter & Gamble Co. will introduce its third generation of Ivory soap products, in the scent of lavender, and is launching a nationwide search for a family to help market the product.
The search will run from Jan. 1 through May 21, and will kick off at the Rose Bowl Parade, where P&G will host a float themed "Generations of Good, Clean Fun." P&G seeks three generations of a family, a grandmother, mother and child of 9 years or younger, to represent the three generations of Ivory: original, aloe and lavender. Procter will accept mail-in entrees, and will host five regional events in New York, Seattle, Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles.
The winning family will get a $40,000 scholarship, a year's supply of Ivory Lavender, will be featured on the company's web site and possibly will be used in a marketing campaign. More info: www.ivory.com.
