Third Quarter Sales
l Blyth Inc. reported that net sales for the third quarter ended Oct. 31, 2005 increased approximately 1% to $444.5 million compared with $439.4 million a year earlier. Operating profit for the quarter declined to $33.7 million compared to $51.1 million for the prior year period. Net earnings for the quarter were $23.0 million versus $30.2 million a year earlier. Net sales of $1.02 billion for the nine months ended Oct. 31, 2005 were approximately even with the $1.08 billion
