l Patent No. US 6,967,025 B2: Cincinnati-based Procter & Gamble Company has patented articles with spores exhibiting antagonistic properties against pathogens and/or spores forming microorganisms. They comprise a liquid pervious topsheet and a backsheet, an absorbent core comprising at least a spore which has the ability to germinate into a microorganism and exhibit antagonistic properties against undesirable strains of microorganisms.
