People who like to shop also shop more often and spend more money, according to Unity Marketing. Pam Danziger, president of Unity Marketing, said the key for success in retailing is to understand what makes shopping fun and making the shopping experience more pleasurable.
Superior quality products and a wide selection of merchandise, a pleasant shopping environment, including a clean store with well organized displays, wide aisles, good lighting, pleasant music, good signage, a good return policy and unique selections of merchandise were found to be most important to recreational shoppers.
