Harvey Gedeon To Keynote PCITX Conference in NYC

High Performance Ingredients & Emerging Technology, an educational symposium and tabletop exhibit, will take place Apr. 18 and 19, 2006 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in New York. This fourth annual mid-year conference is produced by the Personal Care Ingredients & Technology Expo (PCITX), a division of HBA Health & Beauty America.
The educational forum will focus on the latest formulations, naturals, controlled delivery systems and bio-technologies that are being synthesized, extracted and imagined to create the next breakthrough beauty and personal care products, according to conference organizers. On Wednesday, April 19, Harvey Gedeon, senior vice president of R&D for Estée Lauder, will deliver a keynote address entitled, “Globalization and Cosmetic Formulation: Challenges and Opportunities.”
Other topics being presented at the technical conference will include “Endless Youth: Extracellular & Intracellular Regeneration via Natural Ingredients,” “Novelty Active: A New Cosmetic Pathway in Protecting Skin’s Microcapillaries,” and “A New Source of Youth for Cosmetics: Aquaporines.” Additional sessions will address a novel super antioxidant, avenanthramides for anti-itch and inflammation, C02 extractions, improving the vascular network and solid lipid pearls.
