l Half of Americans surveyed say countertops are the household surface they have to clean most frequently throughout the week, according to The Soap and Detergent Association’s latest National Cleaning Survey. Floors (15%) and sinks (10%) came up a distant second and third, respectively.
With the amount of spills and stains that pop up in the kitchen every day, it’s no wonder that consumers put countertops at the top of their list, explained Brian Sansoni, SDA vice president of communication.
“Fortunately, cleaning and disinfecting sprays and wipes make it easier than ever to tackle these surfaces throughout the week,” he added.
The SDA offers tips to help ensure safe, proper and effective use of household products, such as ‘read all product label directions carefully’ and ‘kill germs effectively.’ By law, disinfectant product labels must have an EPA registration number to indicate that it meets the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s criteria for disinfectants.
