THE NETHERLANDS: The Dutch Cos-metics Association (NVC) reported that the Dutch cosmetics industry showed a modest increase of 1.4% in 2005 both in terms of money and in volume. In total, the market amounts to over $1.5 billion in manufacturers’ sales prices. In retail sales prices, this represents almost $3 billion.
The NVC attributed the positive growth to a rising interest in personal care products.
