Consumer products maker Procter & Gamble Co. is suing Perrigo New York Inc. for selling beauty products that allegedly mimic its Olay line.
P&G alleges that the unit of Perrigo Co., formerly known as Clay-Park Labs Inc., makes products that mimic its Olay skin care lines, including Olay Age Defying Daily Renewal Cleanser and Olay Age Defying Daily Renewal Cream. P&G also claims the products infringe by using the registered trademark “stylized woman.”
P&G filed the suit involving four patents in the U.S. Federal Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
The company is asking the court to impose a permanent injunction on Perrigo to prevent further sales.
