SOUTH KOREA: According to Asia Pulse news, South Korean cosmetic imports, especially to Chinese-speaking countries, increased sharply in 2005.
South Korea exported more than $222 million in cosmetics last year (excluding perfumes and bath products), up 35.6% from 2004.
China was the largest importer of South Korean cosmetics, with $62.73 million in imports. South Korea’s cosmetic exports to the U.S. dropped 16.3% to just over $26 million.
Overall, the nation’s imports of cosmetic products reached more than $418 million, up 10.6% from the previous year. France was the
