DeWolf Promotes Pettigrew to V.P. of Sales




DeWolf Chemical:

Steve Pettigrew has been promoted to the newly created position of vice president of sales at Dewolf Chemical. In this position, Mr. Pettigrew will be responsible for all sales activities for DeWolf Chemical’s three operating divisions: personal care, industrial and inside sales.

Mr. Pettigrew has been a valuable member of the DeWolf Chemical team for over 11 years and brings experience and results to this new position.

Martin of Acme-Hardesty
Acme-Hardesty Co.:

Gary Martin has been named supply chain manager. Headquartered in Blue Bell, PA,  Acme-Hardesty Co. is a marketer and distributor of vegetable and animal-fat based oleochemicals and industrial process chemicals throughout the U.S.

Seppic:

Nancy Popoli is the most recent addition to Seppic I
Popoli of Seppic
nc. As senior account manager she will cover the Midwest sales territory. Ms. Popoli previously held positions with Mane, Symrise, Firmenich, Inolex Chemical and Helene Curtis.

Cognis:

Cognis made four appointments in the Care Chemicals division. Al Pearce has joined Cognis Corporation

as marketing manager personal care. Mr. Pearce has a BS in chemistry/biology as well as an MBA. Sanda Gutu joined as senior account manager. Ms. Gutu has an MA in cosmetic science and 16 years of experience in the personal care industry.

Courtney Clay joined as northeast account manger. Ms. Clay has a BS in chemical engineering and has 10 years of experience in the personal care industry. Keith Roscoe joined as West Coast account manager. Mr. Roscoe has a PhD in literature, and Master’s in Philosophy and Education. He has five years of

McIntyre:

Kristin Kunik joins McIntyre Group as Midwest sales manager focusing on meeting increasing technical needs in the Midwest area. Ms. Kunik most recently worked for Croda-Uniqema.

Pilot Chemical:

Pilot Chemical Company has recently expanded its commercial team with the addition of William Rohrer. Mr. Rohrer joins the company as manager of corporate accounts with responsibilities for all corporate account activities in the North American marketplace.             Previously, Mr. Rohrer held positions with Cognis Corporation and The Stepan Company. Mr. Rohrer will be located at Pilot Chemical’s headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Clay of Cognis

National Starch:

National Starch Personal Care welcomes Erik Nelson as an inside sales specialist. His appointment will enhance the value of customer support services. Mr. Nelson previously served as customer service coordinator for National Starch Food Innovation.

SDA:

Michelle Radecki has been appointed general counsel for the Soap and Detergent Association. Additionally, SDA welcomed Helen Benz as senior director, finance and administration, and Mary Ann Linder as meeting manager.

Ms. Radecki has served as SDA associate counsel since 2002. She will manage

the association’s legal affairs and provide legal guidance to SDA on pertinent laws, regulations and court decisions. Ms. Radecki was also elected to serve as corporate secretary.
 
Ms. Benz has served as chief financial officer and vice president for finance and administration for several non-profit organizations.
 
Ms. Linder has meetings management experience in planning domestic and international meetings and is an active member of ASAE, MPI and PCMA.

Drom:

Andrew O’Shea has been promoted to vice president sales, personal care

for Drom Fragrances U.S. Mr. O’Shea has been with Drom for over five years as an account executive where he has taken personal care to a whole new level for the company. Mr. O’Shea will continue to report directly to James Dellas, president of Drom U.S.

Drom also welcomes Valerie Lombardo to fill the new market research role in the Towaco, NJ office and Michael Nina comes to Drom as concept manager, working in the NY Tribecca Studio. Both Ms. Lombardo and Mr. Nina will report to Martha Basanta, head of the U.S. marketing team.
Carolyn Espersen joins Drom Fragrances’ evaluation team. Ms. Espersen will take over the Bath and Body Fragrance Brands.    

Rohrer of Pilot
Also joining Drom’s Tribecca Studio location is perfumer Pierre Geuros. Prior to this appointment, he had been living and working for Drom’s Munich, Germany location for more than five years. This relocation to New York City gives tremendous opportunities to both Drom U.S. and its clients.

CSPA:

Members of the Consumer Specialty Products Association (CSPA) elected new officers and directors for this year at its annual meeting in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The following individuals comprise the new Board of CSPA:
 
Chairman of the board, William Mordan, vice president and general counsel, Reckitt Benckiser, Inc.; first vice-chairman of the board, C. Conrad Kempinska, Jr., vice president, Health, Hygiene & Personal Care, Lonza Inc.; second vice-chairman of the board, Kelly Semrau, vice president, Global Public Affairs & Communications, S.C. New directors include Michael Freeman, president of the Americas, WD-40 Company, and outgoing Aerosol Products Division chairman, who was elected member-at-large to serve a term expiring December 2007. 

Members elected to serve a term expiring December 2008 are: David Beaham, president, Faultless Starch/Bon Ami Company; Thomas M. Hellman, PhD, executive vice president, Compliance Services, Limited Brands/Bath & Body Works; and William Troy, PhD, vice president, Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs, Firmenich, Inc.

Members elected to serve a term expiring December 2009 are: Mike Feldser, president, aerosol and specialty packaging division, Ball corporation; Joseph Franckowiak, vice president, sales and marketing, household chemical packaging, Berry Plastics Corporation; Frank Pacholec, PhD, vice president, R&D, Stepan Company; William J. Schalitz, vice president, R&D, Spartan Chemical Company; Richard Theiler, PhD, senior vice president, R&D, The Dial Corporation; James A. Westerhaus, vice president, Government Relations, Ecolab Inc.; Tammy Westerman, vice president, R&D, State Industrial Products Corp.; and Amy Yoder, vice president and general manager, BioLab, Inc.

New Division chairmen, who also serve on the CSPA Board, are: Robert Harrington, director, regulatory, safety and analytical services, Blyth, Inc. (Air Care Division); James Coletta, Jr., chief operating officer, Americas, Interpolymer Corporation (Polishes and Floor Maintenance Division); and Ron Davis, vice president, Regulatory and Environmental, CCL Dispensing (Aerosol Products Division).

Presperse:

Presperse, Inc. announces two new additions to its applications team. Steve Cochran joins the organization as the senior applications chemist. Mr. Cochran has more than 15 years of formulating experience, having worked for major cosmetic companies in the past.

Additionally, Priti Shah joins the Presperse team as formulations chemist. Ms. Shah has several years of experience in lab work and small scale production support.

Valeant:

Valeant Pharmaceuticals International  appointed Sonia Russomanno marketing director for Kinerase. Ms. Russomanno will report to Jeffrey Cole, vice president and general manager, U.S. Specialty division.

Ms. Russomanno will assume responsibility for all of Kinerase’s U.S. marketing efforts. Most recently, Ms. Russomanno was vice president, sales and marketing at DuWop Cosmetics, Inc., where she created the branding strategy, vision and positioning platform and led a staff of over 40 sales, marketing and merchandising professionals. Additionally, she developed a domestic and international sales and marketing strategy via specialty and premier department stores including Nordstrom, Sephora, Bath and Body Works, and Victoria Secret. 
   

Herbalife:

Herbalife Lt.d promoted Patrick R. Dailey, Ph.D to the newly-created position of chief administrative officer. Mr. Dailey will be responsible for human resources, overseeing the company’s real estate portfolio, risk management and corporate travel. He previously served the company as senior vice president of human resources.
