Colorlab Cosmetics was ranked 64 on the 2007 ICIC-Inc Magazine Inner City 100 list which identifies the 100 fastest growing inner-city companies in America.
This is the third year in a row that Colorlab was included in the ranking. The company was ranked No. 65 last year and No. 72 in 2005. Companies were selected from over 4,500 nominations.
“We are honored once again to be included in this ranking,” said Mary Swaab, founder and chief executive officer of Colorlab. “Our continued growth means that women around the world are getting the cosmetics that exactly fit their needs.
“Our growth is also a testament to the talented and dedicated Colorlab staff. We anticipate strong continued growth and look forward to bringing in additional talent to join the Colorlab team.”
Now in its ninth year, the Inner City 100 list provides unmatched original data on the fastest growing inner-city businesses in the U.S. For the 2007 list, over 4,500 new nominations were received. The 2007 Inner City 100 winners grew at a compound annual growth rate of 49 percent and an average rate of 535 percent between 2001 and 2005. Collectively, the top 100 inner city businesses have employed nearly 19,000 and created 12,000 new jobs over the past five years; both figures are the highest in the program’s history and show signs of continued growth.
