Berner Named VP At Bare Escentuals

Bare Escentuals, Inc. announced that Karen Barner has been appointed to the newly-created position of senior vice president of the company’s direct to consumer business.

Ms. Barner joins Bare Escentuals after a 13-year career at Guthy-Renker Corporation, where she served in various direct response marketing management roles for products available on broadcast television, cable and satellite, as well as Internet, telemarketing, direct mail and retail channels. Most recently, she was senior vice president of marketing, with responsibility for the brand development and management of Proactiv.

Encompassing all direct-to-consumer channels, Ms. Barner will be responsible for leading the overall strategic direction and growth of Bare Escentuals’ Infomercial, Home Shopping Television (QVC) and Web businesses.
