Oxiteno Opens U.S. Office

Oxiteno, a South American manufacturer of surfactants and chemical intermediates, has opened a commercial office in New Jersey.and has appointed Neil Burns as head of U.S. operations.

Oxiteno operates five facilities in Brazil and three in Mexico, and also has a commercial office in Argentina.

In December, the manufacturer will commission South America’s first oleochemical facility comprising of a natural fatty alcohol plant. Additionally, current approved investments will increase ethylene oxide
production capacity alone by 40% in the next two years.The opening of the U.S. office is the latest step in the international expansion of Oxiteno, which began with the acquisition of Canamex.
