Alberto-Culver Company, a manufacturer and marketer of personal care products including TRESemme, Alberto VO5, Nexxus and St. Ives, announced strong sales and earnings results from continuing operations for its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2007.
The company reports that net sales for the fourth quarter increased 14.5% to $421.5 million from $368.1 million in the prior year. Net sales for the fiscal year grew by 10.2% to $1.54 billion from $1.40 billion in the prior year. These are the first full year results since the company split its consumer products business and its Sally/BSG distribution business into two separate public companies, earlier this fiscal year in November 2006.
