Dr. Subhash Saxena has joined the company as vice president, business development–pharmaceuticals to lead an important new initiative: the development of new active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for the dermatology market. He will work closely with ISP’s global skin research center in Sophia Antipolis, France, and reports to Steve Olsen, senior vice president, emerging markets, global marketing and R&D.
A 31-year veteran of the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Saxena comes to ISP after 19 years with Cardinal Health Topical Technologies, where he was most recently senior vice president, R&D/regulatory/quality, topical.
Dr. Gopinathan Menon has joined the company as senior science fellow in personal care R&D. Dr. Menon will work primarily with ISP’s personal care research group, headed by Dr. David Moore, director of global R&D, and lead group efforts in basic skin research. He reports directly to Dr. Claude Dal Farra, ISP’s vice president for research & development.
In addition, Dr. Menon will help lead a new ISP research program in dermatology with Dr. Subhash Saxena, vice president for business development–pharmaceuticals.
