Tom’s of Maine co-founders Tom and Kate Chappell spent the first week of October kicking off the company’s five-year, $1 million Rivers Awareness Partnership at 12 public, retail, and community events in San Francisco and Portland, Oregon.

Tom’s of Maine is pledging $1 million over five years to help American Rivers and River Network, the two leading grassroots river groups in the U.S., representing well over 100,000 members across the country. This five-year commitment (2007-2012) follows the first phase of the company’s rivers program.
