Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. announced net sales increased 25.4% to $208.2 million in the third quarter. Operating income increased 13.2% to $8 million, while net income rose 16.3% to $4.2 million.

According to the company, a 6.7% comparable sales increase and 49 new stores that opened since the third quarter last year drove the boost in net sales. The comparable store sales increase reflected solid gains in customer traffic and the continued strength of the Prestige category. Ulta also re-launched its e-commerce site in November 2007.
