Kracie Home Products To Debut Amino Acid-Based Cosmetics

JAPAN: Kracie Home Products Ltd. this year plans to introduce a line of cosmetics based on amino acids that are used in a wide range of foods. The mid-priced products, which include beauty essences and other skin care items, will be sold at drug stores.

Because cosmetics containing gamma-amino butyric acid, or GABA, are still uncommon, Kracie Home Products are likely to win space on store shelves even as competition between manufacturers heats up and large sums are invested in new products. GABA, which is a naturally occurring amino acid, has been used in a string of products like chocolate and cocoa.
