FRANCE: In 2000, L’Oréal started an online business and strategy competition for undergraduate and graduate-level business students worldwide. Now in its eighth year, the L’Oréal e-Strat Challenge gives students in their final or penultimate year of study the opportunity to put themselves in the virtual driver’s seat of a global cosmetics company.
The online program was designed to illustrate diverse yet realistic marketing situations that L’Oréal managers face everyday.
Since its launch, more than 177,000 students from over 2,200 schools have registered and joined the competition. The L’Oréal e-Strat Challenge is now a recognized international learning mechanism from the European Foundation of Management Development.
