The 20th edition of the Luxe Pack Exhibition, which took place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco last October, attracted 6,121 visitors, an increase of 9.5%. This growth indicates an increasing need for meeting top experts in the sector and discovering innovations, according to organizers. The conference included presentations on topic such as, respect for the environment, changing consumer requirements, changing consumption of luxury goods, international intelligence, legal protection on packaging products and packaging design trends.
Designer Marc Rosen discussed the advent of sustainable development in a round table titled Eco-Echo. He demonstrated that the market has reached a state of maturity and awareness, encouraging marketers to turn toward products and solutions that show respect for the environment, regardless of cost.
Awards were given to Alcan Packaging Beauty, Doro, Ets Clas, Ileos, Kurz, Lisi Cosmetics, Qualipac, RPC Beauté, Verreries Brosse and VPI denoting exhibitors having participated in each of the Luxe Pack editions since 1988. Representing the personal care packaging sector, a Platinum Pentaward was awarded to Wallace Church for Right Guard RGX Body Spray. Three main areas expected to inspire the packaging products of the future include sustainability, accuracy and the enigma.
