New Sales Director at Rovi
Rovi Cosmetics International:
Birgit Gertchen-Ohligschläger has been appointed sales director. Mrs. Gertchen-Ohligschläger is well acquainted with carrier systems and the demands of the global cosmetic markets. With her support, Rovi Cosmetics hopes to expand its international business and respond to individual market demands even more accurately.

Inolex Chemical Company:
Appointed Martina Heldermann as European sales manager. Ms. Heldermann will be establishing Inolex’s new Berlin sales office, and will be responsible for all sales and marketing efforts in the European and surrounding territories. She has extensive experience in cosmetic formulation and raw materials, most recently as global marketing manager for German-based actives company CLR.
DKSH North America:
Appointed Chris Lesko to account manager, west coast region. Mr. Lesko comes to DKSH with solid sales experience and a strong background in personal care. Most recently he was at Noveon Consumer Products, Lubrizol Advanced Materials and prior to that he was with BASF in the cosmetic and personal care division.

Named Karen Johnson vice president of education. She will direct the company’s education programs for stylists and professional store managers. During her tenure at Pravana, Ms. Johnson has had increasing levels of responsibility as an educator at the distributor and salon levels.
The board of directors has appointed Barbara J. Beck, executive vice president of Manpower Inc., to the board. Ms. Beck has been president of Manpower’s EMEA operations since 2006, overseeing Europe (excluding France), the Middle East and Africa. She previously served as executive vice president of Manpower’s U.S. and Canada business unit from 2002 to 2005.

Wilbur comes to ThermaFuse with a background as a salon owner with strong experience as a product educator. She has worked to service distributors and stores; conducting training and reinforcing ThermaFuse brand through strong service and relationship ties with the distributor community.
Michael Faber has been promoted to vice president, sales health USA. Mr. Faber joined Frutarom in 2004 as the company’s business manager, Pharma/Nutra. Formerly, Mr. Faber was global key account manager at Symrise, following his position with that company as its sales and product manager for cosmetic ingredients. Prior to these appointments, Mr. Faber was technical sales manager for Haarmann & Reimer.

International Specialty Products (ISP):
Has appointed Kevin O’Brien as sales director, North America Personal Care. His responsibilities include developing strategic sales plans to drive profitable growth in ISP’s North America personal care business, managing the North America sales team and identifying potential acquisitions.
Mr. O’Brien comes to ISP from Milbar Laboratories in East Haven, CT.
