Shiseido Opens Training Center in Shanghai

CHINA: Shiseido Co. is opening a new training center in Shanghai for workers and management candidates. The center, which will be located next to Shiseido’s Shanghai factory, will operate as a division of local holding company called Shiseido (China) Investment Co.

Shiseido operates six Chinese manufacturing and marketing subsidiaries, employing approximately 8000 workers. It plans to hire 2000 more during the next three years. The firm plans to use the new center to train employees in Thailand, Singapore and other parts of southeast Asia as well.
